| Today, though the term "Christian" means many things to many people, it means for us being followers of Jesus Christ. Emmaus Road is a community which belongs to Christ. At an individual level and as a community, through his Spirit and through scripture, we seek to encounter Christ as our friend, teacher, guide, healer, savior, and Lord. Different spiritual heritages are represented among us, but we are united in our quest to experience the grace of God as he reaches out to us with the love of Jesus Christ, his Son.
Though we are a new, emerging church, we are connected to the greater Christian community.
